GIAS entering the beginning of its 20th anniversary. “Indian constitution and Indian Polity” authored by GIAS founder Mr. Ganesa Subramanian was released by “Pearson Publications”. The book provides a detailed orientation towards prelims and mains point of view of approach. GIAS produced thousands of officers in All India civil services and state services.

2000,2001

2000-Our founder Mr. Ganesa Subramanian was teaching in Periyar Thidal from 1995 and he got selected into UPSC interview thrice in these years. His attempts in UPSC exams were over by 1999.

2001- 20 years ago, Periyar trust and TN government coaching centres were the only centres for civil services preparation in Chennai. Mr. Ganesa Subramanian founded Ganesh’s IAS academy in 2001 without any support except the blessings of his teachers. Academy started with 5 students.

2002,2003

2002 – The first professional IAS academy in Tamil Nadu struggled a lot to pursue as “Delhi was considered civil service exam preparation pool centre” by aspirants. With very few aspirants, Mr. Ganesa Subramanian pursued his coaching.

2003 – 10 aspirants got selected into civil services exam from Ganesh ias academy and the result was successful 50 % of the institute.

2004,2005

New methods of coaching were introduced such as weekly current affairs test, preparation and revision through previous year questions etc.. From 2001 to 2004, the questions were given in hand written format by Mr. Ganesa Subramanian every week due to the less availability of resources. In these years results shown a good growth rate. 13 aspirants cleared the exam.

2006,2007

Tamil Nadu results was increasing in those years and Ganesh’s ias produced around 50% of the results. Ganesh’s ias institute’s 13 results in 2006 and 30 results in 2007 turned the aspirants from Delhi to Chennai.

2008

Ganesh’s IAS academy achieved its goal of “transforming Chennai as hub for civil services preparation”. Many institutes were opened in Chennai during these years. Ganesh ias is proud to be the pioneer for this transformation.

2009

Ganesh’s ias used to produce top ranks of the country in civil services exam. Coaching for TNPSC also started and produced the results of Group 1 and 2 services. Many of GIAS candidates are in the state services. Ms.Lavanya (DSP), Mr. Josh Thangaiya (DSP), Ms. Sita krishnamoorthy (DSP), Ms. Dhivya (CTO), Mr. Babu (DC), Ms. Anusha (CTO), Mr. Ajay Thangam (DSP), Mr. Suresh kumar (DSP), Ms. Janani Priya (DSP), Ms. Archana (DC) and etc., are in the top services of Tamil Nadu state government.

2010,2011

2010 – GIAS started it’s publication division “Kavin Mukhil Publication” (KMP)

20011 – 10th Anniversary of Ganesh’s ias. Ganesh’s ias expanded its frontier and opened a branch at Chrompet.

2012

Chrompet Branch produced its results in civil services. During the period, Anna nagar was the only centre in the city for civil services preparation. Inauguration of our Chrompet branch helped the candidates from southern part of Chennai in various things. It helped the candidates to reduce their travelling hours and cost of living with the availability of best institute for civil services coaching. Still GIAS manage with same team of faculties in both places.

2013,2014

2013 – GIAS expanded its frontier to other states of the country. GIAS started its coaching in Hyderabad in the name of “Premier IAS Academy”. GIAS also started a branch at Thanjavur.

2014 – GIAS introduced the concept of “Lecture Series” in the course model. Lecture discussion by bureaucrats and eminent persons in the field done every month in recent and important topics related to the exam.

2015,2016,2017

2015 – Introduced daily current affairs test for UPSC and TNPSC.

2016 – KMP released the Tamil version book “Inthiya porulatharam”. Without traditional and huge marketing investment GIAS became top most institute and the key factor in producing results.

2017 – GIAS began its coaching in Assam for North Eastern people and Mr. Ganesa Subramanian started to take class in PDP University, Gujarat.

2018

When the Tamil Nadu results in civil services exam declined from 2014, GIAS was emphasizing the aspirants that “Consistency is the key for success” in civil services exam and candidates should prepare them mentally to keep consistency. Our candidates are given training to elevate themselves to this level.

We are very proud to say that our 2012-13 and 2013-14 candidates have proved our theme “Consistency is the key for success” through their success in civil services exam and various other government exams. 90 % of the students from those batches are in the services now.

2019

GIAS released annual calendar from 2018 with a theme. Our 2019 annual calendar received a good response from the people. GIAS 2019 calendar contains information about the “Districts in Tamil Nadu” useful for aspirants.
